Congregation B’nai Torah offers a wide range of Shabbat services for all ages led by our Rabbi and Cantor. All evening services are followed by a tasty Oneg Shabbat provided by our members. Attire is synagogue appropriate (nice-casual).
All Shabbat Services at CBT are open to the entire Community. Start times and focus vary...
Shabbat Yeladim is usually held on the first Friday of the month. The service begins at 6:30 and runs 45 minutes. We use the prayer book 'Gates of Prayer for Young People'. This service is appropriate for families with children of all ages, and is especially enjoyable for children in grades K–5.
Our Musical Erev Shabbat service consists entirely of music! The congregation is provided with lyrics to all melodies, and becomes an instant choir. This service is a truly moving and wonderful experience. The service begins at 7:30 and runs one hour.
All other Erev Shabbat services begin at 7:30 and run one hour. If there is a special event such as celebration of a holiday, the service may begin at 7:00.
Our B'nai Mitzvah services begins at 10:30 am or 4:30 pm, and celebrates one of our own becoming a Bar or Bat Mitzvah and CBT’s newest adult! Please check the calendar for the schedule, and for the start time of a specific service. The entire community, as always, is welcome.
