Dear CBT Members,

I'm checking in with everyone now that we are officially in 5781.
I hope you enjoyed our hybrid in-sanctuary/virtual High Holiday services. Kudos to the rabbi, Jodi, Robin, and the many others who created a very engaging and meaningful series of services having never done anything like that before.   The food drive on Yom Kippur was equally successful.

As I hope you have seen, we are trying our best to provide enriching and fun programs despite Covid. Many favorites continue albeit online, such as Torah Study, Book Club, Mah Jongg, and let's not forget Shabbat services. We're supplementing these with Bingo (win a CBT mask!), Tea Time Talks with the Rabbi, Sisterhood and Brotherhood events, and many others, including special services to celebrate Jewish Arts and to recognize Domestic Violence Awareness month.

Hebrew School opened and is off to a great start. We are especially proud of our Hebrew High School that has kept many of our young adults learning together and attracted great interest from students at nearby temples who desire to participate in our programs.

All of us wish a hearty Mazel Tov to Meira Illiano, Isabelle Stein, Zack Rodgers, and Eli Gross and their families on their becoming a Bar/Bat Mitzvah this month.

Please keep filling the food bins outside the temple doors.

I have another request for you. It's no surprise that this has been a very challenging year. Unfortunately, for many different reasons, we lost several families. We need your help to bolster our membership. Please reach out to your friends who are looking for a warm and supportive community. First year, "Try Us Out" dues are free. As friends of yours, we'd like to make them friends of ours.

Be well and stay well,

Dale
