Why We Joined

"The open and caring environment, the relaxed feel of Friday services, and weekday-only Hebrew School were the best fit for our busy family. It’s a diverse and inclusive congregation, with many interfaith families — something that is very important to us."

Calling All Young Artists

A Community Event Combining Art and Music

An extraordinary cultural event is about to happen in Needham Ma. We are calling all artists from Kindergarten through college to participate in this important music/art happening. Needham’s newest Community Art Gallery is embarking on an exciting double feature concert/art show that will bond communities together… “We Build the World with Love”.

Students K-12 & College: Exhibit Your Masterpiece

Youth are encouraged to enter an original piece of artwork that reflects any of the following theme: peace, love, acceptance, diversity, and strength of friendship. Drawings, paintings, pastels, and small sculptures are all acceptable. To submit a work of art for exhibition, please contact Jodi at: [email protected]

The Art Exhibit

The art exhibit “We Build the World with Love” will up for the month of October, beginning October 1st. The opening night of this art show will follow an inspiring interfaith concert.

An Interfaith Concert

On Saturday, October 20th at 7 PM, please join Cantorial Soloist, Jodi Blankstein and her guitarist, Adam Dehner, along with their bandmates, Anne Kalis, Mitch Gordon, Steven Sussman and DJ Fortine. “Sanctuary” will be joined by members of the church’s choir directed by Pamela Goody. “We Build the World with Love” will highlight songs of peace, strength, acceptance, and reconciliation. A reception will follow at which time guests will be able to view the children’s artwork. These artistic contributions will be for sale after the concert and all proceeds will go to the organization Kids4Peace. Both the concert and Needham Community Art Gallery are located at Christ Episcopal Church in Needham (across from the library) at 1132 Highland Ave. Handicap accessible and parking. For information, call the church office: 781-444-1469.
