Cantor Kate Judd to Join CBT for High Holy Days Services

We are excited to share that Cantor Kate Judd will be joining us for this year’s High Holy Days services!

Cantor Kate received a Masters of Jewish Education and her Ordination as a Cantor from Hebrew College in Newton. She served as the Spiritual Leader of the Brattleboro Area Jewish Community from 2012-2021, with a one-year sabbatical in 2019-2020 when she attended the Pardes Institute of Jewish Studies in Jerusalem, Israel. She has served as High Holy Day cantor at the Greater Washing Coalition for Jewish Life in Washington, Connecticut, and has performed opera, oratorio, lieder, and cantorial repertoire throughout the New England area. 

Cantor Kate currently teaches voice and the Alexander Technique in Brattleboro, Vermont. She received a graduate performance degree in classical voice from the Longy School of Music. She received her certification to teach the Alexander Technique and has taught Alexander Technique and voice at many schools, colleges, and workshops including Harvard University, Bennington College, Marlboro College, and the Wellesley Composers’ Conference. She is a past Chair of the American Society for the Alexander Technique (AmSAT).
