MultiFaith Outreach

The MultiFaith Committee was established to provide a channel for families to address multifaith issues and to provide a support system for multifaith families at CBT. The MultiFaith Committee meets approximately once a month and works to develop programs for multifaith families, families with intermarried/dating children, Jews by choice and those considering conversion. We also have social events aimed at helping us to get to know one another in an informal setting. Please contact us with any questions or issues so that we may assist you. The committee and all programs are open to all members of the congregation.

Presentations

An open discussion with Pastor Larson, Rabbi Eiduson, and Father Erickson

We have held many educational seminars and programs including panel discussions with area clergy. This past year we invited Father Erickson from Our Lady of Fatima and Pastor Donald Larsen of St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church for a discussion on Pope Francis, and how his words have impacted our common goals. Other topics have included celebrating December holidays, Death and Dying practices and other life cycle traditions.

Viola Morse's personal story of how her family was saved from the Holocaust, as featured in the movie Orchestra of Exiles.

Annual Movie Night

Every spring we hold an annual Movie Night, in conjunction with the Adult Education Group. We begin with cocktails and appetizers, followed by the movie and a short discussion. Past movies have included The Way We Were, Annie Hall and Orchestra of Exiles; the last is a documentary which featured the mother and uncle of one of our members, Viola Morse.
