Why We Joined

"The open and caring environment, the relaxed feel of Friday services, and weekday-only Hebrew School were the best fit for our busy family. It’s a diverse and inclusive congregation, with many interfaith families — something that is very important to us."

Mah Jongg Lessons

Are you looking for some more joy in your life?  Do you remember your Mom or Grandmother playing?  Do you hear your friends talking about their weekly games? Would you like a chance to get to know more women in our congregation while also having fun?

The Sisterhood is excited to offer a new four week series of Mah Jongg lessons. These classes are for anyone who has never played Mah Jongg before and also for people who know how to play but would like to learn more strategies to improve their skills.

The classes will meet on Sundays from 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm at the temple on the following dates:  March 17th, March, 24th, March 31st and April 7th

The cost for all four lessons for temple members is $36, which will also cover your Sisterhood dues for the year. Non members are also welcome and the cost will be $50 for the 4 lessons. Checks made out to “Congregation B’nai Torah” can be brought to the first lesson. Each participant will also receive a paper copy of the National Mah Jongg League’s Set of Rules. To reserve your spot for the Mah Jong classes, send an rsvp to [email protected] and let us know if you are a new player or if you want the class on Mah Jongg strategies.
