Hanukkah Cooking Class with Leah Koenig

Potato latkes may be the star of many Hanukkah tables, but they only tell part of the story. The original latkes were surprisingly made not with spuds but with cheese! In this interactive, family-friendly cooking class, cookbook author Leah Koenig will share the fascinating history of kaese latkes, and demonstrate how to make delicate, lightly-sweetened cheese pancakes that are equally at home on the brunch table as the Hanukkah table. The recipe, which comes from Koenig's book The Jewish Cookbook, will be shared in advance for participants who want to cook along at home.

The charge for this class is $20 per household and pre-registration is required.

Leah Koenig is author of 6 cookbooks including The Jewish Cookbook (Phaidon, 2019) and Modern Jewish Cooking (Chronicle Books, 2015).
