Congregation B'nai Torah of Sudbury celebrated Shabbat on the Wayland Town Beach with two special Friday night sunset services on July 13th and 27th. The services were led by Rabbi Lisa Eiduson and new Cantorial Soloist Jodi Blankstein. Guitar accompanist, Adam Dehner, contributed to making this a wonderful musical and contemplative experience for all. Approximately 100 people took part, each time, in the highly participative, multi-generation service by the water – with their voices, with hand-held musical instruments, and with their positive energy. Afterwards, picnic dinners were enjoyed and everyone had a chance to toast marshmallows and make s'mores.

Why We Joined
"The open and caring environment, the relaxed feel of Friday services, and weekday-only Hebrew School were the best fit for our busy family. It’s a diverse and inclusive congregation, with many interfaith families — something that is very important to us."
