 Jodi & Adam's recording of R'tzei

Our Cantorial Soloist, Jodi Blankstein, together with her long-time guitarist/accompanist, Adam Dehner began their service at Congregation B’nai Torah on July 1, 2018. Jodi will participate in the breadth of adult and children’s activities at the congregation. Among her primary responsibilities will be leading worship through singing, creating a full music program for the congregation, working with Bar and Bat Mitzvah students, teaching in the Religious School, and facilitating choirs and musical and vocal ensembles. Jodi and Adam were introduced to the congregation on Friday evening, June 8, as part of a Shabbat evening service that they led together with Rabbi Eiduson.

Congregation B’nai Torah Rabbi Lisa Eiduson said: “We are thrilled to be able to welcome Jodi and Adam to Congregation B’nai Torah. The synagogue community is looking forward to having these two talented musicians make CBT their congregational home. Jodi’s beautiful, soulful voice combined with Adam’s intricate guitar work makes prayer easily accessible to all. Her musical range and interests are broad; she and Adam are current on the newest innovations in Jewish liturgical music today. They also consider the traditional melodies a central component of their repertoire. Jodi not only possesses a deep understanding of Jewish music and the position of the cantorial soloist in the congregation; moreover, she sings and leads with passion…the type of passion that reflects her wise and compassionate soul. I am delighted that she and Adam will be able to share their many gifts with us at Congregation B’nai Torah.”
